There are many things that I will cherish for the rest of my life but these are definitely the most important to me!

The first item in my cultural bag is a pickle ornament, this object symbolizes tradition. What my family does with our pickle ornament is a game called “The Pickle Game” what you do is you have an adult hide the pickle in the Christmas tree somewhere, when they put it in all of the kids look for the pickle and who ever finds it first wins 25 dollars! This tradition as a big part of my life and that is why the pickle ornament is in my cultural bag.

The net item in my cultural bag is my stuffed animal dog Poochie. This item is in my bag because first of all I love my little stuffed dog and second this item was passed down from my great great great grandpa to my great great grandpa and so on. To me this item symbolizes family and ancestors. For that reason this item is in my cultural bag.

The third item in my cultural bag is my baby blanket. This is very important to me because it symbolizes life and me. It symbolizes this because this is the blanket I had just as I was born. This is also important because every time I hold this item it is like starting my life all over again. This item is a landmark in my life and that I why this is in my cultural bag.

The fourth item in my cultural bag is a book my mom bought for me when I was about 2 or 3 months old called the “school days” book. In this book you write about each grade and put pictures inside. This symbolizes education to me because it is all about education. This is in my cultural bag because it is the future of my life and because education is a huge part in my life!

The last item in my cultural bag is my grandpa Garry’s picture of him when he was 11. In this picture he looked almost identical to me same hair, same face, and just about everything else. This symbolizes family. The reason this is in my cultural bag is because I never got to meet him and my mom said he was a great man!
